The Andi Leadership Institute for Young Women seeks to equip the next generation of global women peacebuilders to be leaders in their communities. ALI will accomplish this goal through:
Staff:
Jaime Horn, Director
Jaime brings over 20 years of experience in communications, advocacy and international development. She gained international experience while working for UN Women’s South Asia Regional Office in Delhi, India where she focused on the area of women, peace and security. Her work there led to her position as a communications consultant for the Institute for Inclusive Security where she helped elevate the role of women in peacebuilding. She holds a MA in Conflict Transformation from School of International Training. Jaime recently launched her own consulting firm, www.jlh-strategies.com and lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, Mathew and their children, Grace and Luke.
Kim Massey, Program Director
Kim brings over 20 years experience working with youth in various mentorship, counseling and educational roles. While working for World Learning, she gained experience implementing youth leadership and cross-cultural exchange programming with students from around the globe. Prior to her work with international youth programming, Kim administered restorative justice and reconciliation circles at a community justice center. At George Mason University's The Edge, Kim facilitated team development and experiential learning activities and programs. She holds an MA in Conflict Transformation and an MA in Counseling Psychology. Kim currently lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico where she works as a trauma-informed psychotherapist with individuals, youth and families and coaches school faculty and staff around social emotional learning and trauma-informed education.

Holly Barnes
Ms. Barnes is a Senior Analyst at Group W. In this role she leverages her social sciences and military consultation roles to advise DoD clients on operational readiness and manpower issues. Previously, she served as U.S. Interagency Program Manager and Instructor for the U.S. Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group which provided advanced individual training to operations and intelligence personnel. Ms. Barnes’ expertise (humanitarian assistance, civil-military operations, assessment and operational planning in complex environments, information operations, and joint military doctrine) also enabled her to support NATO Headquarters’ Urbanization Project, during which she helped developed an Urban Resiliency model to increase decision-makers’ analytical rigor during planning of urban operations. Ms. Barnes has extensive experience supporting training and exercises for military organizations in the realms of humanitarian assistance, multinational cooperation and civilian planning considerations. She has extensive field experience in Africa and Afghanistan, working with war affected populations and advising the military on civil-military operations. Prior, Ms. Barnes worked in the fields of strategic communications, psychology, and social services. She holds a Bachelor and Master of Arts in psychology.

Erol Yayboke
Erol Yayboke is a senior fellow with the International Security Program and director of the Project on Fragility and Mobility at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). His specific research interests include migration and forced displacement, violent conflict and global fragility, conflict-aware stabilization, violent extremism, climate change, civil-military cooperation, and disruptive technologies. Previously, he was a senior fellow and deputy director with the CSIS Project on Prosperity and Development. Prior to CSIS, Mr. Yayboke served on the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign as well as the Evidence for Policy Design team at the Center for International Development at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. Mr. Yayboke has long-term field experience working for organizations (Global Communities, Save the Children, and AECOM International Development) in Iraq, Afghanistan, South Sudan, and the Somali Region of Ethiopia, serving in various senior management roles. Mr. Yayboke teaches a graduate level course on global fragility and resilience at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. He holds an M.P.A. from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin and a B.B.A. in international business, also from the University of Texas at Austin. He is fluent in Turkish and Spanish.
